Awareness raising of this Ultra-Trail around the world must come hand in hand with a trophy that will encourage the best to compete. For the first time in the history of this sport, May 26-27 2017, the Europe team received the Caballo Blanco Trophy.
With a route established for the first time as a walking trail crossing the great site of Sainte-Victoire, regional natural park of Saint-Baume and national park of Calanques, this first edition (May 26-27, 2017) was a unique course. The Ultimate Race included a 64km (40 miles) course, in order to maximise the number of participants in this great celebration.
A long and technical course, 131 km (80 miles) with a 6,150 metre D+ climb, across 3 legendary natural ridges.
The Half Ultimate Race, 64 km (40 miles) with a 2,500 metre D+ climb.
A study on the environmental impact of the event was carried out to ensure 0 impact. This study assessed the situation during and after the first edition.
